If we're posting stuff to become maps...how about; http://home.comcast.net/~norsehound/MultiwiniaMap.jpg If anyone's wondering, yes, it is an adaption of a Risk board to multiwinia. It's obviously not perfect, but then, neither was the Multiwinian's rendition of Sepulveda. Think of it as the Darwini...

Plague outbreaks aren't that easy when your MWs manning the spawn points get infected, and then infect every Multiwinian coming out of the port. In this particular case, a Futurewinian suction beam threw some over near another spawnpoint, and the result was my entire territory becoming infected save...

The worst thing next to your base is...?

Even though I rarely venture into online multiplay, I still get games in now and then and a few of them lately I find difficult (if not impossible) to win given the circumstances that time in the game. Usually it's a combination of some factors, but sometimes one thing can make the game unwinnable f...

ok, you need a domination game with starting power ups (you want the shield power up at the beginning of the game.) as soon as you get the powerup, either wait for another team to destroy your spawn point or destroy it yourself. now while the timer to elimination reaches about 10 seconds left. use ...

Multiwinia, as is, is the best strategy game I could ever have hoped for. Like chess, or even Checkers, there isn't a lot of variety in the units, but the important thing is how you use them. Multiwinia is perhaps unique in the world of Real-time strategy games in that it doesn't need a resource to ...

Well, this is a Taiidan heavy cruiser , a Vaygr Battlecruiser (complete with teeny antenna), and the Prison ship from the first game . They were all assembled with glue and things I don't have easy access to, and my models were built with scotch tape to keep everything together given my glue had dub...

It works! It's kind of amazing to see some of the 'leftover' models in the models directory... take a statue with a dollar sign for example. Anyway, I'm trying right now to make the Multiwinia spawn into something painless to create, but the area around the door where the multiwinians come out is pr...

TGF- Could you could be so kind as to post a step-by-step guide as to how you pulled this off? I guess that isn't the objective statue... since there isn't a little darwinian holding up the entire world :) This problem with tiny bits and pieces is something Homeworld paper modelers have to contend w...

That thread seems to be talking about importing models into Darwinia and not the other way around. Some of the posters claim that getting models from the game is 'easy', but perhaps this is easy from a coder/modeler perspective and not that of the layman. Brice created a Pearl script that I guess is...

I'm familiar with papakura designer... since that is the only way to get models from homeworld. But what about extracting the models from Multiwinia into a format that is readable for Papakura? Will the models, once extracted, be ready for unfolding or will there be additional conversions necessary?

This is a necro post... ...but the original content was cool enough to bring back up again, with a question: how was this done? What was the process to extract the armor and convert it to a foldable model? If the spawnpoints could also be converted into a foldable form, I imagine we could get a full...

Though does this mean the teamspeak is still disabled? Are the only the commands that are changed and the keys re-bound the ones that don't work in their default settings? I mean I'm basically asking if the chat keys are disabled now since I've re-defined my key settings. Would I have to define the...

All right... I found it. The file in my case should be named en_ US .txt. I don't get it, since I was under the same assumption you were Fish, that a US keyboard would use UK settings as well (is there really a difference between US and UK keyboards?). I changed the text name, noticed it wasn't usin...

Yeah it is, I forgot that branch of the files and edited my post too late. For kicks, I keyed everything to a, b, c, d and so on down the list. It was still keyed to the default settings. Whatever it is, it seems to ignore the keyboards file. Are you sure it should be in the keyboards folder and en_...

I made these a long while ago... maybe within the first three months of Multiwinia's release, but have been kinda dragging my feet when sharing. So I finally decided to put them up to see if anyone else wanted them. It seems I might be the only person to have considered ui edits. I didn't like the c...
