Hi again! I fixed the problem by toying with the setting in the 3D menu of the Intel Graphic control panel. Here is a screenshot of my current ones.

I'm reposting an image for the problem.

How can this be described in SDL or OpenGL terms so I can google for solutions in other games?

The same problem appeared with me after I installed the latest Intel drivers to be able to use a higher resolution. The problem is present at all resolutions.

It may be a OpenGL or SDL issue as it also appears on AssaultCube which I think uses the same libraries.

The latest for Linux is 1.42

It is fully compatible with the versions for other OSes and I don't see any extra functionality for Windows besides not needing to restart the game if you change some settings and a working boss button.

Dr. Strangelove. I know the movie by heart. The Indiana Jones clip was so bad and absurd that it was good. Or maybe it wasn't at all. I cannot decide.

Thanks to everyone who shared in this thread, I'm going to watch some of the titles I didn't know.

I hope I'm not being off-topic here, but I would like to note that nuclear nuking is not inauthentic. In fact tactical nuclear weapons are an integral part of the "defense" (preemptive attack or outright aggression, really ) thought in the USSR and probably China (since it copied every Sov...

I think that you should: - when attacking military installations near big (more than 10 mil) cities you should drop a few bombs on the civilians. Its is possible that you fail to destroy the silos, or even maybe another power will rob you from your points in a territory you cleared (I do this all th...

Naval loss recovery strategy

tl;dr: Is it possible to win the game even if you lose your fleet? I've noticed that generally when a player loses most or all of his Battleships and Carriers, the enemy fleet destroys his silos and the game ends. Is it possible to regain initiative by using your continental air force or perhaps a f...

I live in a place like this: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/9/94/Studentski_grad_Sofia_20090406_008.JPG Probably the one of the worse places to live in Sofia (the students town). Hopefully I will move soon to a better place. There are of course much prettier buildings in the city: htt...
