Well given that it's shareware, and only really available in the registered version in the most useful capacity, I'm not surprised that there's been little/no mention of it. I think maybe the reason it's mentioned so much is because it's more considered the sort of magical holy grail that everyone w...

Please, please, persistent multiplayer world with that. I'd spend day in, day out building devious bombs and hiding them, leaving clues in messages to well respected players. Or mount them on IR sensor controlled, people seeking minicars. Tehehe. Yes, yes, this. This. It'll be like all those danger...

Yes, well, hopefully this won't just turn into another short haul confrontational multiplayer game. Consider that your electronic systems need to be physical too, people love to solve problems in unconventional ways; as you say, your time bomb example doesn't have any problem with being picked up an...

Oh hi. It'sa me, bumping-this-a-thread a-gain-ah! Would you look at that, it's the 26th of May! May ! That's almost like another 8 weeks, could you believe it! When I repeatedly bump and bring this up again, I'm not at all trying to say that I don't think IV are very thankful of their community or a...

Hmm, it should be little issue to do that then; the objects are stored in a vector in a vector - just putting them in an unsorted pile of same typed objects in an unsorted pile of object types; I was already trying to rearrange things to be a bit more process friendly, but I was just doing it the wr...

(aside: every time I say function, I probably mean method, but I don't care because they're goddamn functions!) OK well totally hypothetical problem then... All my game objects are designed so that their specific object type can share an indiviudual behavoir function with other classes (and if neces...

I was reading the article that VeryLittleGravitas linked, and to be honest I'm actually quite surprised. I did electronic engineering at university, and I was longing for more courses about pointers so I could have something both easy AND interesting to do... we did assembly and C (not even ++) and ...

Couldn't you just pick up a new webcam? PC World sold me a relatively decent logitech E3500 for about 17 pounds in store (about what you usally pay online, anyway) - ignore the packaged software entirely and fire up something like virtualdub and you're good to go!

Funny thing, I don't really get why some people want their name changed - is it just the email thing? Couldn't you just change the email in your old profile to be something bullshit and stop using the account? I'm not really sure how it works. I might seriously just use this account full time. I can...

I think, additionally, you can specify both attacker and defender reinforcement types. You might find these work in non assault maps too, randomly, but I dunno. I think Trunkport armour is just specifically armour, and doesn't work for other powerups, but I really don't remember. Evidently, that co...
