There is more to life (and to PC Games) then simply having the top score. Absolutely right. But not in any of the currently available single player (e.g. all of them) Defcon modes. For what it's worth, I too am coming around to the point of view that you are a troll; either that or you genuinely do...
For Defcon to be a true team game, it needs a team score, replacing the individual scores of the players that make up that team. For example: In a 3 v 3 genocide game, it'd display the accumulated kills inflicted by both teams and nothing else; or the current number of survivors on each team in a su...
Hey Mr. Sniper, you paid the money for it, play the game however ya like so long as it makes ya happy :D For myself, as long as I'm in first place, I'll happily let an alliance stand and will even help my team mates out if I'm secure enough, points wise... ...but if I need the points to reach first ...

You'll note that at the end of each game it announces the victorious player; not the victorious team.
This is why I hate immature teenagers and pre-teens. They think it's so awesome and cool to swear on the Internet and make blind threats towards killing one's family and beastiality. Go go idiocy. http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p3/Cougar_II_photos/Shh.jpg Courtesy of Penny Arcade :)
Similar thing happened to me last night - playing as Asia, I watched an ally's subs creep along my coastline, escorted by one of my carrier groups. When they surfaced, my bombers were already in the air over them - the whole group was sunk. They did get a few birds away though - all of which landed ...
What's that meant to mean exactly? The thread was trying to determin wether or not backstabbing is part of the game. Um, I thought it was about being able to stab yer ally without breaking a ceasefire with him. Backstabbing per se is clearly meant to be in - it's (almost) an integral part of the ga...

A very good point, which fits in perfectly with the general theme of backstabbery.
I didn't think Allies were made aware of the fact that someone had broken a ceasefire - in fact, I'm sure they aren't. If they did they wouldn't sit there and take the incoming - I've used this tactic a few times, it works a treat ! :D I certainly wouldn't change that - it induces paranoia, a big pa...
im glad im not the only one who thinks this may be a oversight from the developers. No, that does sound like an exploit to me - there's no way to counter or defend against it until the nukes start to fly. You still need to allow players to target freely though to allow them to hit patches of the se...
with ceace fire on you can still target your allie, the difference is that the target painter dont snap to a target so you need to click your mouse in the center of the target to get the same effect. i still feel this has been over looked by the developers. as with ceace fire on you dont see the re...
