Dimmer explosion mod
Not much of a mod really, but I got tired of explosions masking the units/cities/structures underneath, so I opened up the explosion.bmp file in Photoshop and changed the opacity to 35%. Download here:

Submerged subs can attack any naval unit while submerged, as long as it's active pinging or has radar coverage from another ship. From my knowledge, the only thing that can destroy a submerged sub is a carrier in anti-sub mode. However, you cannot change modes on your ships until after Defcon 3 star...

Fighter turning radius...
The turning radius of fighters really needs to be fixed. I constantly lose fighters due to fuel range when they're facing away from carriers because they turn so darned slow. It's even slower than bombers! Anybody feel the same frustration?
