And fighters don't regenerate. Whatever you start with is what you get to use and if you lose a unit, it's gone for the rest of the match.

There are two ways of restricting the execution of programs. One method is by file name using the policy editor, and the trick around it is to just rename your file to something the policy editor will allow to run. The second method restricts by directory, usually allowing only files in the %systemr...

Although I don't have a screenshot of it, I once had a score of 198 in a 1 vs 1. The opponent didn't hit a single one of my cities and my sub volley destroyed all of his silos.

Look in your Defcon directory. There will be data.dat and sound.dat. Open them with WinRAR or any program that can read RAR files.

Dimmer explosion mod

Not much of a mod really, but I got tired of explosions masking the units/cities/structures underneath, so I opened up the explosion.bmp file in Photoshop and changed the opacity to 35%. Download here:

Save it to ...\Defcon\data\graphics\

Potential issue with subs...

Submerged subs can attack any naval unit while submerged, as long as it's active pinging or has radar coverage from another ship. From my knowledge, the only thing that can destroy a submerged sub is a carrier in anti-sub mode. However, you cannot change modes on your ships until after Defcon 3 star...

If you ask me, the demo should have restricted gameplay to single player only. Allowing demo users to create 1 vs 1 servers, or join ones made by retail players, is no restriction at all. Since retail players will always create servers, demo users, in reality, have no restrictions at all.

Man, I have to agree with you very much there. Almost every game I've played, people are always saying "faster faster faster". It seems like all people want to do is launch their nukes at whatever they can and hope they can win. In every game against an opponent like this, I've always had ...

Fighter turning radius...

The turning radius of fighters really needs to be fixed. I constantly lose fighters due to fuel range when they're facing away from carriers because they turn so darned slow. It's even slower than bombers! Anybody feel the same frustration?
