And I wish the group luck. I never said that it shouldn't exist, only that there is no reason why IV should be responsible for its existence. Now that backstabber has created the group, it is there for anyone that cares. The rest of us are free to ignore it, if we wish. xander Nothing wrong with ig...

Yup. So it's an extended version of Xfire, Ventrilo, and an app organizer in one. Not to mention it's free.

I assume you are speaking about a while ago when Steam still sucked. Times had changed. windows 98 sucked to. Give steam an other change. Its pretty good these days. The program was only a small part of it, the larger part was the terrible customer service that Valve provided. I don't care how good...

Ah. But I could have sworn it did it. I even remember it asking me if I wanted it to do it and I clicked "ok". Because I myself had not forwarded the ports and I've always been able to host a game with Defcon.

Well that's a very crappy connection. I can host a game and my connection is not the best, per say. Also, this game forwards your ports automatically, doesn't it?

Very true. But still, it is essential to this style of gameplay. I've known people who have stopped playing this game because of it.

Host Migration

Sorry if this has been brought up before, and I'm sure it has, but it didn't come up in search. The idea is when a host quits the game that the server changes hosts to another player. One game I know they do this in is Flatout 2, I'm sure there are plenty more but that's the only one that I myself h...

Oh, it works, thanks for the help. Afterward I found a tutorial HERE for skinning though, which helped me tons with the later half. But thanks again. Me skin is looking pretty sweet if I do say so myself.

Need Help with Skinning

I wanted to make my custom skin and redid the login screen and Uplink logo, then replaced the files in the graphics.DAT, but whenever I launch the game instead of the graphics I made I get big white X's where they should be. Is there a step I'm missing here?

Look up "Defcon 5" in that very site. In fact just search under "Armageddon" you'll find ALOT of games like this. After all, this game was never an original idea, it was based off of a fictional game played in "War Games". The main difference between this and those is t...
