Not a bad idea, if only Uplink weren't somewhat past it's prime (don't hate me for saying it)

I doubt Introversion would want to spend time coding a Flash/Java mini-version of the game when they're currently occupied with Defcon and the next next next game.

Part of it is also probably due to the fact that if someone had a solid, fun, viable PVP system ready, they would much rather implement it as an MMO system rather than a small-scale LAN one. That doesn't seem to have occurred..yet.

Deepsmeg and Rkiver are essentially here to destroy your self-esteem and your confidence. Don't pay too much attention to them. To their credit, they have seen quite a number of these "projects" that all turn to vaporware at some point. Now they're just bitter :P Come on guys. I'm not sayi...
