But wait.. isn't Grim Fandango an example of how a game from a large corporation can not only succeed and be creative but also give credit to those due? I think the irony meter just exploded.

Okay, if memory usage is the only problem then I have just the solution. MaxMem runs in the background (tray icon) and periodically frees memory when your resources begin to run scarce. This can help with unnecessary memory usage, but I'm not sure it will really help if the game actually requires mo...

Yeah, I noticed the whole demo was like that. If you don't follow the directions exactly then it breaks easily. Since I knew what I was doing I did things very quickly and found myself having to backtrack just to get in synch with the script.

Or as a new bootloader. I've always wanted to see a music video boot loader, and I think the white screen thing would work great as an element for it.

First of all don't even hesitate to put down $30 for this game. It'll be the best purchase you'll have made in a long time. Beyond that I can tell you that while the actual campaign isn't terribly long, it's a damn fine game and well worth the money on its own. What's more is that over the course of...

What about tinting the main body of the lamp a light green and having the lil green (darker) ones inside. Much more ambient. Mm.. I guess it's the idea of darwinians within a darwinian that I don't much care for. Personally I'd prefer to see just a simple glowing darwinian lamp. Something to attrac...

I prefer the idea of a darwinian lamp to some of these other suggestions, but I'm also not sure I like the design you laid out. I'd prefer something simpler like a green translucent darwinian. At the very least it would provide more (scattered) light.

And he did state that he could listen to it without restarting Darwinia 20 times, so I assume that he was aware of this option. Well he indicated that he was unsure whether the bootloaders were random, which gave me a pretty clear impression that he hadn't seen the prefs file. Visitors from Dreams ...

Woot! Visitors from Dreams is awesome... Now i know how to listen to it without having to start Darwinia 20 times :P You have a few other options, too. 1. Support those involved. Buy the soundtrack. 2. Open your prefs file and change the line "BootLoader = random" to "BootLoader = firsttime" 3. Dow...

Yes, but for a banner ad or a forum banner, sig or whatever, it's way too large, and it'll just piss people off. Hence the only real use being for people to click it and go 'ooo, pretty'. Hence, not practical for advertisment, really. Well for the forum I frequent I've received only compliments. :m...

Personally, I like gestures as well. However, for every person that loves the gesture system, there seems to be someone who hates it. It then makes sense for IV to make it optional. Again, the gesture system is not going away; a second option is being added. Hey, options are always good. I'm not ar...
