I've been over to the Ambrosia forums, and they are just linking back to this forum and to a non-existant DMG on the introvision site.

Just in case you are on OS X, it's slightly less obvious - control-click/right-click on the Darwinia app and choose 'Show Package Contents'. The folder that comes up will contain 'main.dat'. You can then use something like UnRarX to decompress it.

Panning with the Editor turned on requires two-button mouse

Just a note that panning around when using the editor requires holding down the right mouse button - the regular Mac way of holding down CTL and left-mouse to get right-mouse functions does NOT work, so you cannot use the editor with the standard one-button mouse, nor use the trackpad on a laptop. T...

Thanks for that, I'd gone through most of your site but didn't think to look at the shapes tutorial. So it is actually ypr (yaw, pitch & roll) values, but in vector notation. At least now I should be able to write a script to generate all the needed CameraMount lines, thanks. P.S. Clicky for the...

Hmm. Got a bit further, now that I figured that you can only pan around in the editor using right-mouse (and CTL+left-mouse doesn't work on a Mac?), at least I can now point the camera in different directions and see what it does. But as all six figures are changing at once it looks like I'll have t...

Thanks, that sort of helps - I'd been thinking in terms of -0.90 to 0.90 because of usually dealing with degrees, but there is still something odd with the set of six numbers, several of them seem to alter the yaw in combination. :?

Deciphering CameraMount coordinates

Hi all, this is my first post to on the forum, having discovered Darwinia through the patch being on Versiontracker last week, great game. As a panoramic photographer, it occured to me that it could be interesting to do QTVR panoramas of some of the levels. The easiest way to do this would be to tak...
