if uplink is not meant to be real, then it isnt based on anything, so there is no control over anything and then the game isnt really about hackers (or crackers). and hey - who knows if there will be an internet or even a computer in 2010? Is uplink a guess at roughly what life will be in 3 years or...

I think the console commands should be altered so that they are more like the real deal cmd. so the same command s that do things in uplink should do the same in real life.

i have tried tracing the logs for AGES but i never end up anywhere and without any names.

Hey, you could re-enact famous terrorism acts and stuff. you could have to guide planes into the twin towers for £1 000 000 for a terrorism group, or find ossama bin laden for the americans for 2000000 quid.
