Re: Dedcon fails to launch playbacks on Debian testing
Here's one possible solution: use schroot to install a stable debian inside Stretch. https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebootstrapChroot The above instructions are for Ubuntu, but just convert the Ubuntu-stuff for Debian. Or here's what I did: root@debian:~# apt-get install schroot debootstrap root@debian:~# ...

Re: Kicked spectator
Well exactly, then why did Iggy get banned? Was it mistake? Because if it was, I'd really appreciate if you would be kind enough to admit it, instead of making some weird scene where you state when the conversation has gone off-topic and demand the thread to be locked, when it has not been on topic ...

Re: Kicked spectator
I must agree with mobius here. I myself couldn't find any evidence of cheating, being paranoid isn't evidence. Sorry, but this is just ridicilous. That's all I'm going to say about this.

I am certain Aug servers are not the Wild Wild West running unchecked by cheaters and ragers alike.
Nope. I have no affiliations to G6. As such, they indeed are running unchecked by cheaters and ragers alike.

Re: AKE servers shutting down on June 1st
Thank you for years of service! Also, saying that AKE servers were some kind of Wild West, I'm pretty sure the Phoenix servers are doing fairly well at being completely un-moderated pieces of crap at the moment

Kind of makes me sad to see how small the explosions really are. Of course, the impact is larger, but still... a bit disappointed about the reality.

Re: 2v2 Ying Yang... Why??
Well i must be going wrong somewhere, i still think it may be something to do with me ending up downloading it as a RAR file. The compression method has nothing to do with it. You still need to extract the file to your /defcon/mods/ folder. And it needs to be under it's own folder (i.e defcon/mods/...

Re: No spectators + kick votes = trouble?
Back on topic  I left out of the initial post that this is also a somewhat efficient way to DoS a DedCon server by connecting a few clients, vote kicking one of them and leaving it as a spectator. Result: no one can play on that server until the server is restarted or the spec removed. Right b...
