I offered to make this one for a friend who's a fan, and I thought I'd share it with you all as well.

EDIT: This download includes both the "true to the original" bomber icon, and the larger stretched out icon.

It doesn't look to badly, but I'd have preferred seeing a better close-up of the actual unit, if possible |

Here's a full-size screenshot, if that's what you meant.
If you meant that you'd like the unit to appear larger, I can stretch it vertically so you can see it better. It wouldn't look exactly like the real logo anymore, but should still look pretty cool. |

That's exactly what I meant. Thank you!
It looks very sweet indeed. |

Thanks!
I also went ahead and made a stretched version anyway. I figured maybe some people might like the look of the bomber, but aren't fans of Essendon; so they wouldn't mind a larger version, even if it isn't 100% true to the original.

Well, I didn't even know that bomber before you posted
But the stretched one comes out so more better!!!! (the detail on it, and the nice tail and little things like that). |

I like your bomber. But can you post the differences between a bomber armed with a nuke and an empty one?
In many mods I couldn't use very nice bomber icons just because it was very difficult to see whether the bomber is armed or not. It's kinda essential. The onboard nuke should be clearly visible and distinguishable. |

| Oops. I never did think of that. This is the first bomber graphic I've made. I'll grab some screens of both versions of the bomber, and get those uploaded. |

Am I the only one seeing differences in bombers in that screenshot?
There seem to be some "hollow" ones and some completely filled ones.
Compare the two from the red carriers to the left to the blue one coming from up there on the left. |

Not quite as easy to see as with the default bomber, but not too terribly difficult to make out, I think. |

| Looks like an angled conception of the B-1 Lancer Bomber. |
