I don't know if this is classed as a mod, but i found it interesting.
I took the time to change many 0's to 1's in the Defcon cities.dat text file and added all the cities that it would allow. So if you are upset because your hometown is not in the game, this will most likely include it. This is what USA looks like with all of it's cities:
Alot more isn't there? 
This applies for all other continents aswell. Also allows for a higher population limit. (200)
Update: I have updated this mod and hopefully this should sort out any problems people have like the consistant population on all the cities. The new version can be downloaded here:

Why? Well there is actually cities in unused countries like Mongolia, Australia, Turkey and Greenland that are never seen since these countries are not owned by any continent. If any unused contries were to be added by another mod this may come in useful.

Just a word of warning – with a population of 400 million for each continent, you run the risk of scores overflowing, thus causing weirdness. The highest safe population is 214 million.

I thought that the ones and zeros in the cities.dat file was for determining if the city was a capital city or not.
What the heck did I miss?
In anycase, good job. Me love you long time for this.
Edit: Turning on Country NAmes has the country name shown for ALL Cities. |

I've put it on "iHud" if that is any better. I tried emailing it to you but that didn't work because it thought i was trying to send a virus. Can you do it for me?

Also took the liberty of removing all the unnecessary files (from 1+MB to 66 KB )

| I downloaded the slimmed-down 66k version that only has cities.dat in it. However it won't let me start a server with more than 50 cities per territory, am I doing something wrong? |

But...
When you removed all unnecessary files (which i'm also thankful for ) you accidently removed a text document named "gameoptions.txt" from the data folder. This is the file which allows all cities to be displayed by upping the city limit. Could you be a dear and fix it? Thanks again
