Ok, here it is, my first attempt at a mod. It's the first map, I'm planning on creating a few more. Please test it and let me know if anything is wrong or ... well, whatever comments you have on it.

Seemed easy enough. I don't want to edit the game so could you please post the intro and objectives?

Ah, you could read it in the english.txt, which is missing hte objective come to think about it...

spawn_fence_1 This is the Darwinian prison. Virii souls go here to be clensed of their bad behaviour.
spawn_fence_2 The big red Guards recycle the Virii captured, it is your task to turn them into Darwinian and get them safe.
spawn_tree This Officer collects recycled souls and puts them back into Darwinian society.
spawn_trunk The fresh Darwinians need to worship this tree in order to activate the Trunkport. It takes about 50 of them for the statue to notice them.
spawn_via Don't you worry about moving the Darwinians, that's all taken care of.
spawn_control The enemy has control of the Incubator, it will take some force to overpower the Engineer left behind... Force you do not have, or do you?
spawn_endintro One final note; Stay on the path, water is bad... Good luck!

the goal is to incubate 50 darwinians, they should move towards the tree by themselves (btw, take a close look at the tree, why are the darwinians circling it? Wink)

You hid it soooo well I just had to go back and see.

J/K there is a huge badly carved statue of Doc's head in there Smile

Is it possible to use red darwinans insead of virii? more realistic assuming they don't over power the guards.

Oh, sure. you can easily change that yourself Smile The main problem, which is also part of the challenge, is that the souls fly away pretty fast, and you need to get your engineers accross the path fast, with the risk of getting cought. Your engineers only get one shot at fetching souls, because once you capture the incubator and all, the other souls will be gone.

It's a pretty easy level. The souldestroyers are just for show (although they tend to eat the virii at the side of the path every now and then...). Shouldn't take you very long to finish Smile

I did, the darwinans kill centipedes. So I tried useing red darwinans and green tripods. I see why they wern't used ingame, they are sooo week. guess virii and centipedes it is.

I noticed that you gave us enginear level 4 because of the collection ability. Why not reduce the number of darwinans needed?

It doesn't really matter. You have three engineers for overpowering the red engineer (although, you could do with 2...). You first need to get them asap to the "prison", without getting cought by the virii near the path. Then collect the already disappearing souls asap, and then you can take your time.

The Virii just follow the Engineers to the prison, and get killed by Centipedes, giving more souls. So there's no reason to avoid the water...

will you hush.

i know this. the souldestroyers tend to kill the virii every now and then as well. you can use the virii lured to the red engineer and get it killed. there are many loopholes. ithere was little good alternative though. its the idea that counts. its not like the whole map is a huge wopping challenge anyways, but face it, its either maps like this, or more of the same which by now you probably got tired of gameplay wise. (new map, huge area, infested, clear out, reach target, continue...)

I'm trying to create levels with new idea's using the old game mechanics. I'm not very good with designing with colors and everything, but rather with idea's in gameplay and what not.

Oh, I do like the map. It is - just like you said - a refreshing change from the bit monotonous original levels. Thanks.
